Few places on Earth stir such wanderlust as the rarified, sunlit slopes of Africas Mt. Kilimanjaro. Its indigenous Chagga farmers have been perfecting the cultivation of perhaps the worlds finest volcanic coffee for over a century under lush canopies of banana trees, as members of the Kilimanjaro Native Cooperative Union, Africas oldest coffee cooperative, established in 1924.

The KNCU collects coffee from 96 village societies, representing over 150,000 small scale local farmers.
